Steelo started discovering music at a young age. At
age 13 he played in a band called G.L.B (1996) . With this band he performed each weekend in the various hotels on the Island of Bonaire. The band’s repertoire was a mix between top 40 songs to golden oldies and Latin songs.
In 1998, G.L.B recorded an album in Sarasota Florida of which Steelo composed three songs.

One of these songs was used for the first single (Celestial) and the
film crew who was in Florida shooting a movie recorded the video
for it.
The Single was a success and climbed to the number One spot on the radio charts where it stayed for 6 weeks.

In 2000, Steelo wanted more and moved to the Netherlands. In
Holland he worked with several producers which helped him develop as
a Singer Songwriter. In 2003, he stared in a small musical
production and that same year he got a chance to orientate himself
at the Music Academy in Rotterdam.

In 2004, he was part of the R&B formation D-zine who consisted of
four members: Jay Kay, Eye Jay (finalists of idols), Steez and
Steelo. In Germany D-zine did a lot of opening acts for Montell
Jordan, Druh hill and Ebony. After a year the group decided to go
their separate ways ... After which Steelo took the time to
develop himself as a Solo Artist. Steelo recorded his promotion Single and music Video ''Insecure''.... and worked on his show. ....

The Songs ''Hands Of time'' You’re
Name'' from the demo cd and ''Insecure'' “Contagious” “Feeling Fine’’
are probably the best songs to describe Steelo his sound and Style.
Catchy melody's a slight mix between RnB and
Pop, happy but not to soft, sweet but with a little edge and sometimes mix it up with a little Caribbean flavour.

Steelo has through the years grown to be an experienced talent
with a lot of potential. With his fresh sound and looks Steelo is
definatly an artist of whom we can expect much from! As Steelo
would say ....Aim for the moon.. even if you miss you will land
among the Stars....
